Picasso Espresso cup - La Colombe De La Paix

Picasso had been a great friend of doves since childhood. Thus, four years after the end of the Second World War, he designed the silhouette of a dove for the World Peace Congress in Paris. It quickly became a symbol of the peace movement in the following years. Later, Picasso drew further versions. One of them is depicted here on the cup. "La colombe de la paix" is undoubtedly one of the most famous motifs in the world and is still a worldwide symbol of peace today. The drawing impresses more than ever with its simple beauty and special radiance. The black saucer rounds off the cup harmoniously.
